Microchipping

A microchip gives your pet the best chance of being reunited with you if they ever get lost. It’s quick, safe, and can last a lifetime.

A Lifetime of Protection in One Quick Step

Losing a pet is every owner’s worst fear. Microchipping offers a safe, permanent way to improve the chances of a lost pet being reunited with their family. At Kelly’s Animal Hospital, we provide quick and virtually painless microchip placement during a regular appointment or while your pet is under anesthesia for another procedure.

Unlike collars or tags that can break or fall off, a microchip provides lifelong identification. The chip is about the size of a grain of rice and is placed just under the skin. Each chip has a unique ID number that links to your contact information in a secure database. Veterinary clinics, shelters, and animal control facilities nationwide can scan for this ID to help bring your pet home.

Benefits of Microchipping Include:

  • Permanent, reliable identification
  • Quick and simple placement procedure
  • Peace of mind knowing your pet is protected
  • Increased likelihood of being reunited if lost

A microchip is a small step that can make the biggest difference—helping keep your beloved companion safe for life.
