Addison’s Disease

When the adrenal glands quit making the hormones that control electrolytes and the body’s capacity to adapt to stress or illness, Addison’s disease develops. An “Addisonian crisis,” a potentially fatal condition that frequently manifests as weakness, collapse, inappetence, and lethargy, can result from Addison’s disease if it is left untreated. Typical symptoms include vomiting, diarrhoea, weakness, and inappetence.
